Educational Release Time

Classified employees are now required to formally document use of educational release time granted as part of their tuition assistance program participation. A new education release time code has been created in Web Time Entry to reflect if/when you are granted approval by your supervisor to attend classes during scheduled working hours. You must begin to use this code effective immediately and for all future instances if/when your supervisor approves education release time. All release time will need to be approve by supervisor in advance and then submitted in web-time entry weekly (LeoOnline). Approval is subject to supervisor discretion and is not a guaranteed benefit under the tuition assistance program. The maximum amount of release time an employee can use is three hours per week.
